Nina Lee deNova never meant to write a novel—at least not like this. Twelve Moons Between Us is her first work of fiction, though much of it isn’t fiction at all. Drawn from actual letters, messages, and journal notes, it became a story of curation, a mosaic of memory, vulnerability, and impossible timing. Nina loves trains and travels... She doesn’t call herself romantic, yet her capacity to feel deeply, sharply, and unapologetically still catches her off guard. A good memory hoarder with a bad daily memory, she collects moments with the details the way others collect photos or tools: compulsively, reverently, as proof that something real happened. Nina lives for travel, chocolate, and the ocean. She believes the best conversations start with unfinished thoughts. This is her first novel. It probably won’t be her last.
